Frequently asked questions
Something about the idea of ‘healing’ weirds me out.
Fortunately, this is not a belief system you have to subscribe to; using kinesiology to identify and release excess energy stored in the body works whether you believe in it or not.
That said, these modalities can challenge some core beliefs about the nature of corporeality, communication and the location of the self. Being asked to change one’s mind about a core belief often creates mental distress. Given this, people sometimes feel uncomfortable unless or until they experience a session themselves.
I am not a woo-woo new age healer. Clients report that I am warm, smart, client-centered, and focused on results. I am grounded, balanced, and have a good sense of empathy and humor about the feelings of weirdness and discomfort these techniques can trigger.
In your spare time, what do you do?
In my spare time I write, play competitive squash, serve as an active board member of SquashBond: Sport and Beyond, read about Middle Eastern politics, host large meals, and fold laundry. I am also a wife and the mother of five children, ages 9-19.
Is there a name for what you do to bring people into balance?
My primary healing modality is based on The Emotion Code, a system developed by Dr. Bradley Nelson in Utah over the last 30 years.
In this mode, I do not have access to your conscious mind, but can query your subconscious and use kinesiological testing to ascertain if the answer is affirmative or negative. Whether the dis-ease is physical, emotional or spiritual, each person’s subconscious knows how to heal, and can guide him or her back to health. Having lifted many mystifying medical and psychological conditions, I have confidence in the efficacy of this modality.

How did you Develop this skill?
I have been interested in consciousness, spirituality and healing for a long time. A concussion from a spontaneous fainting episode jostled my pineal gland, leaving me able to perceive other people’s past traumas without verbal communication. This was the starting point for a fascination with how to release the emotional vibrancy of traumatic memories and alleviate the physical and mental distress they cause. I then spent hundreds of hours training in several healing modalities and working with clients with a wide variety of symptoms. I continue to learn from every client.
HOW DOES IT WORK?
Whether a client’s suffering is emotional, physical or existential, I can direct his or her subconscious to pinpoint the thoughts and emotions that are trapped in unresolved memories, either from this life or inherited epigenetically from previous generations. Once identified, we can release the emotional potency of those memories so they no longer obfuscate the present, and/or manifest as a physical symptom such as a rash, pain, or illness.
Although I generally start with the Emotion Code, I sometimes employ tapping (EFT), therapeutic yoga, and Reiki to accelerate a client’s healing process.
how long are sessions?
Sessions are 50 minutes. Some issues can be fully addressed in a single session, others take more time to unlock and release.
Over the course of treatment you will find yourself more and more able to experience life in the present as joyful, abundant, and full of possibility.
would this be instead of or in addition to regular therapy?
Either. The release modalities I employ can be used by themselves or in parallel with other treatments.
When will I feel a release?
There are no hard and fast rules, but I’ve found that the feeling of release can happen differently for different people and for different kinds of releases.
The release of unprocessed emotions from past trauma is usually felt in real time, although it is not uncommon for the release to take a few days as the conscious brain works through how to res-shelve a memory once it has been neutered of its emotional volatility.
The release of limiting beliefs often take a few weeks to fully permeate the conscious brain.
The release of physical pain can happen in real time or within a few days or weeks, depending on the injury.
How Long is a Typical course of treatment?
I usually work with clients on a weekly or biweekly basis for 5-10 sessions, and then for follow up visits on an as needed basis.
do you see children?
Yes! With pleasure. Children often require shorter terms of treatment and show dramatic changes in short periods of time.
What are your rates?
My rates are in keeping with the rates of other mental health professionals.
